An extraordinary artist’s studio & a complicated negotiation

My clients wanted to acquire a home in RBK&C. They had owned several properties in London, but knew they needed help to find the best property their money could buy as this was to be the family home now that they had two children.

They wanted a property that required renovation so that they could tailor it to the specific needs of the family. They particularly wanted to avoid the “typical” tall, narrow London house.

We found them an interesting opportunity because it was a distressed sale. The property itself was also unusual as it had originally been a large artist’s studio that had been split into three flats. However, not only was it possible to amalgamate them back into one property but there was also considerable scope to extend to create a home that would be ideal for the family (see additional photos below).

We wanted a property that we could renovate and turn into something that suited our family needs. Jeremy found us the ideal property and then managed a complicated purchasing negotiation involving a number of sellers and multiple issues. Not only did he manage to significantly improve on the price we had discussed, but he also managed to keep all parties committed to the purchase and to an agreed timescale.
